A useful interview scorecard does one job: force the panel to write evidence (metrics, owned outcomes, concrete examples, tradeoffs) before they write feelings (liked them, great energy, rockstar).
What counts as evidence
- Numbers: quota %, ARR/MRR, churn, CSAT, pipeline dollars
- Ownership verbs: owned, closed, shipped, reduced, led
- A real case: named customer, deal stage, constraint, what they did
- Tradeoffs: what they cut, why, how they measured
What usually means charm
- “Great energy / culture fit / personable”
- “Seemed confident / polished / impressive”
- “Felt like a rockstar / go-getter / team player”
Rule of thumb: if your notes score high on charm and low on evidence, do not advance — re-probe the missing rubric rows first.
